Sedation Dentistry

About Sedation Dentistry…

Sedation Dentistry, also called Conscious Sedation or Sleep Dentistry, is a very safe and relaxing way to have your dental treatment done; patients are very happy with the experience.

First Dr. Perry will discuss with you what is involved in doing sedation dentistry, then carefully go through your medical history to see if it is safe for you and help you decide which type of sedation is best for you. You will need a companion to bring and pick you up from your appointment. Please refrain from eating 6 – 8 hours before your sedation visit also wear loose clothing for easy access to your arms.

If intravenous sedation was chosen, Dr. Perry will place an IV in your arm to sedate you, then you will sink into a very comfortable chair and covered with a warm blanket. Your vital signs will be monitored every few minutes. Our experienced clinical team will take care of your dental needs. When your treatment is completed your companion will return you home to finish your relaxing sleep.
